During the teaching term the seminars invite guests to deliver lectures linked to the theme of “The Global Architect”, with the aim to discuss different aspects related to the subject and offer a broad spectrum of personal experiences, methodological approaches, and research and bibliographic resources. These lectures have seen practicing architects, planners, theorists, and historians presenting their professional activity or academic research. Moreover, poster sessions and final symposia have given the students the opportunity to display their work and receive feedback from experts and professionals, both international and based in Milan.
About the seminars
The seminars The Global Architect are taught within the Architecture and Urban Design MSc program by Gaia Caramellino, Pierre-Alain Croset, Christian Gänshirt, and Paolo Scrivano. They intend to provide support for students enrolled in the Master’s Program “Architecture and Urban Design”in the elaboration of their final theses. The seminars are led in collaboration with the course “History of Architecture and Urbanism” at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen’s Expertise Center Architecture, Urbanism and Health, under the direction of Cor Wagenaar.
